Parent Action Group
The Parent Action Group is a group of parents and carers from the school community who gather together to organise and run fundraising events throughout the school year.
We value new ideas and invite every member of our school community to be part of the Parent Action Group. We understand that everyone has different ways they are able or prefer to help and accommodate as best we can.
Past events organised by Parent Action Group include State Election Day Sausage Sizzle, Easter Raffle, Student Disco, Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day stalls.
If you would like to be a part of the Parent Action Group please leave your name at the office or come along to a meeting. Meetings are advertised in the weekly newsletter.
Partners as Literacy Support (PALS)
PALS is a literacy program developed by Moonah Primary School to help students in the early years who would benefit from additional support in a one to one session. Volunteers are trained to conduct a structured program of reading, writing and playing literacy games. Students share their learning at home each night reinforcing the successful gains they have made during the sessions.
